Re: how would I get the x band bios to run on an emulator??
When a friend did a ROM dump of my Xband years ago, I was never able to get the music to play properly, and the bios only played on one particular emulator. However a year or two ago, I believe I did come across a bios that would play on most emulators and would play the music/audio too. I will chec...
Re: HD Lag
I experienced this when trying to play Guitar Hero (PS2) on a new HDTV. At first, I chalked it up to rust, but after sucking at 5 straight songs, I looked into it a bit more. Thank goodness I've still keep an old standard television around.

My progress on the client is a little hindered on graphics right now. Until we hopefully get some ripped sprites, I've decided to attempt to remake them as best as I can. Oppinions on this challenge Icon I remade? http://www.xband2.com:8080/Challange.html This challenge icon looks great! I fired of...

Blog post from an Xband Game Cracker
David Ashley was Catapult employee in 1995, and was the person who hacked SSF2 and made it playable via Xband. I found his blog and asked if he could write a bit about his days working at Catapult, and he did so the very next day. It's an interesting read :-) http://dashxdr.blogspot.com/2010/10/some...

from what i understand, the weapon lord game was the only game to have the xband support coded in which meant it could send info back directly to the xband os easily without the patching from the fred chip inside the xband modem. im not sure if it eliminated the need for a patch all together or if ...

Updating Xband411.com
This renewed sense of "Xband Fever" has been the catalyst that I needed to update Xband411. I'm mainly cleaning things up, but I'm also going to do my best to add/modify the following: - Create a History section with a timeline of important dates and actual articles that will provide a sou...

Besides Super Mario Kart, I'm curious about WeaponLord. Me too. What advantages did the native support for Xband afford? Was there a higher level of integration? Honestly, I don't know. But I'm sure that if it was programmed with the XBAND in mind, it meant that Catapult probably didn't have to wri...

Simpler times back then! We could read everything there was to know simply by reading a Mag like EGM. Back then I subscribed to GamePro...I was enthralled with the issue that gave a walk-through of Resident Evil for Playstation... the game seemed so new and exciting! Sad that EGM is gone. Hey man, ...

Is there a list anywhere that says which games worked with Xband back then? I never owned a SNES back when Xband was out and I still don't have a genesis yet. I am curious to find out which games worked with Xband. All of the games were reverse engineered by Catapult except for WeaponLord, which wa...

I actually have another question for you guys: How did you hear about Xband? Was it through Blockbuster (I heard they were part of the original nationwide rollout)? Toys 'R Us? EGM? EGM for sure! I loved that mag as a kid, and read every article and advertisement on Xband that graced the pages. Tol...
