Sorry to bump an old topic - but what kind of setup would be needed to achieve this?
If its possible I'd be happy to setup an e-mail hosting program on my Saturn site for Netlink (and SegaNet) users. Could probably do Dreamcast as well.

Sorry to bring back this old topic, but did you try the Japanese NetLink? Found anything interesting? Maybe you could post a video on Youtube or something to show us what it'S like. It sounds pretty interesting, even if it probably doesn't work online anymore I have not had a chance to really play ...

Someone was able to download version 4.0 of the browser with a PC and made a bootable image of it. You can download it from my Saturn site here:

You'll need a modified Saturn to run it; or use the swap trick.

The Floppy Disk drive doesn't seem worth the price, it's really only for collectors of Saturn stuff. I agree. I may try searching Japanese auction sites for it, who knows, might be cheaper to find on there. I'd like one day to get the printer package to to complete the entire Sega Saturn Networks :)

Please explain the swap trick. http://www.sega-saturn.us/backups.htm Scroll down to the swap trick part. I'd only suggest trying it if you have a model 1 Saturn....with a model 2 you really need split second timing. If your ready determined to play this game, either mod your Saturn or play on one o...

American Netlink + Japanese Saturn
I am considering picking up a Netlink Modem sometime in the future. Anyone know if this thing is region-free? I have a Japanese white model 2 Saturn.
I know I would need to region-patch the Netlink games to Japanese region so they would play but how about the modem itself?
