It was a full keyboard that plugged directly into the Sega Genesis controller port.

I believe there was one for the SNES, but not 100% sure...

I was rangerjoe and strictly played NHL 95 on the Sega Genesis, usually played against my buddy who lived in my town.

We bought our XBand modems at Electronics Boutique back in '94 and I still have my modem and the keyboard from Catapult. Great memories.

I was an XBand-er back in the day. Being able to play NHL over the phone line was awesome (although it wasn't the exact speed as the normal gameplay). My buddy and I first saw the Xband promo video on a kiosk at the mall and immediately went to Electronics Boutique and bought them. I still have mine...
