chat revival
is it possible to get the irc server for the original netlink chat? if so, would it then be possible to revive that area? I'm kind of a newbie to netlink, so please let me know if this is possible or not and why.

Re: Saturn Region Switch
Yeah, It's piggybacked and the only real issue is that it's kind of large, but the guy tightened it down closer to the board and whatnot so it should be fine. Your concerns are true, it is possible for a mistake to happen, just like if you were to forget or add the wrong code in a program - but thes...

Re: Saturn Region Switch
Well, that's strictly up to you if you don't want to do it. You also don't actually have to remove the chip, you can actually just deactivate the main one instead. Anyways, from what I've seen, it essentially just removes all the region restrictions through the BIOS - so it should work with just abo...

Re: Saturn Region Switch
I think you and I may be mistaken. It is, in fact, a RF BIOS. It's attatched to the BIOS/Region chip that came factory installed, when it's activated through soldering it in the right ports (possibly the jumpers you were talking about) then it can play all regions. Like I said I'm not sure how the m...

Re: Saturn Region Switch
That's kind of what I meant, I believe the jumpers were modified. I'm not particularly sure as to how it happened as I'm not the one doing it. I think the BIOS can play backups but I'm not too sure. I check on what the guy changed when I get it back.

The ultra-rare SAMSUNG SATURN
So, I'm sure a few of you know what I'm talking about, and if you don't, I'll sum it up right now: Yes - Samsung made a console, Yes - it was legally authorized by Sega, and Yes - it does come with its own lineup of Samsung brand games and controllers. So here's the story - it's the early to mid 90'...

Re: Saturn Region Switch
I actually just had my samsung saturn (yes, a SAMSUNG) modded for RF. Apparently you used a switch, but the mod I got done was done to the BIOS so it didn't require the chip. It's up to you really but if you're not too big on mods or on possibly messing with the case then this is the way to go if yo...
