Re: Sega Pluto Saturn with built in Netlink prototype

Derek are you the current high bidder on this thing? I hope you win the auction dude. I'd at least like to know what happens to this thing after it leaves this dudes hands. Who knows maybe some day I'll win the mega millions and be able to buy one of these Plutos for some insane price. Also if you d...

The other Sega Pluto. A guy found it at a flea market for a $1. I'm full on mad right now.

Re: Sega Pluto Saturn with built in Netlink prototype

Angry. :D I have wanting things I most likely will never have. The Turbo Duo is one of the more affordable items on that wishlist right now sadly.

Sega Pluto Saturn with built in Netlink prototype

http://sega-addicts.murnaumusic.com/?p=37725 There are apparently only two of these floating around. A former Sega employee made a forum post and put up some pictures of what is now one of my most highly desired items. Would LOVE to own this. I'm always a little mad when items get added to my holy g...

Re: Hey All! .... and Saturn game prices

As nice of a guy as you are Derek I totally regret telling you about that copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga and not snagging it for myself. I love that more people are into the Sega Saturn but I totally hate how it's shot the prices up. I miss that 2008/9 early days of the financial apocalypse where every...

Re: i cant believe the netlink league is still going strong

Well I forgot the Saturn even existed. The last memory I have from back in the day was seeing a commercial for NiGHTS and thinking it looked pretty cool. Then it was around 2006 that I started getting heavily into video games due to having a real job and being able to buy all the shit I didn't have ...

Re: Your recent pickups

I haven't held a Vita yet but I don't mind a bigger handheld system. Whenever I go anywhere where I would feasibly play a handheld I generally take a backpack. So there's no issues with pocket space generally. I believe Phantasy Star Online 2 which is what I believe you're talking about (PSP2 being ...

Re: Your recent pickups

Yeah man my SNES is yellowed pretty bad and the Super Famicom does look way better than the US SNES. I'm actually looking to pick up a Famicom at some point. I've got this stack of Fami Carts and nothing to play them on. I don't particularly want to get a million copies of Gyromite to find one of th...

I found out about the netlink around 2009. Wish I had heard of it earlier.

Re: Your recent pickups

I just picked up Bomberman B Daman for the SuFami, Donkey Kong for the Gameboy (had to put in a new battery) Out Run 2 for the Xbox. I also obtained Phantasy Star Portable 2. Warp would you be interested in playing some PSP2? I'm trying to find people that are down and I believe you've got a copy.

Re: Saturn Region Switch

I've since done a Google search - looks like there is indeed a custom, region-free BIOS now. It seems to be a more recent development (past two years), which is why I was unaware of it - the news simply hasn't been spread very far, and I haven't been looking for it. It's an interesting thing, to be...

Re: Saturn Region Switch

Oh man I'd rather just spend $5 on parts and a half an hour with the soldering iron than buying an import system.

Saturn Region Switch

I just installed a region switch and everything is working fine. Really excited about it. Haven't affixed it to the case yet. I've got a VCD card in my saturn so there's no extra room back there. I'm thinking of cutting a hole through the battery cover to run the wire through then attaching a projec...

Hey Rogue if you're willing to dial out to Ohio I'd love to play some Virtual On or Saturn Bomberman with you! Or anyone else that's willing to dial out to me.
