Haha, wow, a Jim Shapiro reference is the last thing I thought I'd see here. I used to get that Rochester affiliate, too. Still do. I definitely remember that commercial, puzzlingly more than virtually every other commercial from my childhood.

House of the Dead was a terrible port. Shame it's worth so much money, because it looks like diarrhea on the Saturn. SEGA couldn't even be bothered to port it themselves - they farmed it off to the same team that gave us laggy gameplay in the Sega Touring Car Championship port. Ugh. House of the Dea...

Grolt I actually made a what is everyone playing thread in General a month ago :). JK not that it matters. Heh, my bad. For some reason I haven't even seen or posted in that thread. I guess this is a more suitable location for it, though, since it's for Saturn games as a whole rather than anything ...

Umm... the game I'm closest to actively working on beating right now isn't on a Sega system... Final Fantasy IV DS. I'm kind of semi-stalled right now, because there's a really tough boss that I'm stuck on, so I'm going to have to run around and grind until I get my party leveled up. That's actuall...

Now Playing...
We have a thread on purchases, but I'd rather read about the games you're all playing and the opinions you have. So voila, "Now Playing..." Me? Right now I've picked up SHINING THE HOLY ARK with full intent on actually finishing it. I played it pretty gung ho over Christmas, but sort of lo...

sonic r has music that gets annoying though  nice at first but wears thin pretty quick for me. if it were without the vocals, i think i would enjoy it. Ah I think the music is great. BTW you can turn the vocals off in the options menu to just have the music! Problem solved! sweeeet. i see a c...

Congrats on beating it. I thought it got a bit tedious in parts near the end when you had to keep going through that labyrinth and fighting the same dudes, but the ending more than made up for it. SPOILER The final fight is wonderful, when you get to battle the several different forms of yourself. G...

I don't think it works, since the whole reason for the swap trick is to bypass the authenticity check of the disc. Japanese discs are of course also authentic, so really, the swap trick is doing nothing other than damaging your system, since you've still in effect done nothing to change the region ...

Glad you came around in regards to the game's graphics. I've always found them beautiful, especially around the campfire in that little village at night, and then that blue water level with all the ruins. I used to just fly around that area endlessly, alternating between day, night and sunset. I lov...

It's the best game ever. The graphics are so fresh and original, even today - it's a surreal mix of color and environment. Just a beautiful thing to play, and the gameplay is so tight. Being able to change the music depending on how you treat those little creatures who fly around also gives the game...
