Re: PC Engine

It's always nice to have a place where people will provide assistance rather than compete with you to try and buy things. I've heard that some in the Resident Evil collector's community are cut-throats.

Re: X band and Sega Channel ads

These are cool, thanks. I always like to look at old Xband stuff to get my nostalgia on.

Re: Virus

Thanks for letting us know. Most likely, that happens because this site has a low "Web of Trust" rating. This stems back to when a hacker hijacked the hosting account and had set up a phishing scheme. I'm not sure what I can do about it at this point.

Re: where can i get the netlink games at?

As Warp said, without a doubt, obtaining Daytona CCE without breaking the bank would be a challenge. The other games are much more reasonable. I'm surprised that Virtual On is anything over $30 these days... used to be that Virtual On and Sega Rally were by far the most common (and cheap), because S...

Re: HD Lag

Most computer monitors are less laggy than standard television LCD's, probably because they process the image less than a TV will. I use a 22" monitor both for an external screen for my laptop and I use the HDMI port for the Xbox 360. I have a Component to HDMI transcoder (doesn't upscale or pr...

HD Lag

Something we never had to worry about until roughly the last 5-6 years. When I bought my first HDTV in 2007, I plugged in my original Xbox and loved the increased color saturation... but something felt off. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, until I saw something about "HD lag" online. ...

If I bought that shirt, I'd be torn between wearing it and keeping it completely new.

Re: sega broadband adaptor ebay

I used to play Q3A on the Dreamcast through dial-up, even though at the time I had cable broadband access at my house. There was just a sheer coolness factor to playing Q3A on a Dreamcast that I couldn't get over. If Broadband Adapters weren't so damn expensive, I'd buy one just to try it.

Re: PC Engine

I never knew that Hudson Soft was in the business of making any hardware. I would pick up one of the versions other than the original so that you're not limited to using RF output. The Turbografx apparently had a CD peripheral extremely early in console history. Interesting. I remember sometime arou...

Re: Your Favorite Decade?

For me, it was roughly 1994-1997. I loved the music and gaming. I enjoyed the grunge and post-grunge eras, stuff like Pearl Jam, of course Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Catherine Wheel, Dishwalla. Gaming-wise, Xband made me happy, I liked to play some Doom on the PC, and I was big into the Genesis N...

Re: sega broadband adaptor ebay

It's only really worth it if you: -rip your own games -play lots of the online games that support it -use the web browser extensively -develop code for the Dreamcast I wonder how many people still do. Getting more obscure, I wonder if there are any brave souls left traversing the internet on their ...

Your Favorite Decade?

Some people might not have a "favorite decade," because they don't look back at all. But others, for whatever reason, feel as though they preferred a certain time period. So what was your favorite decade, or time period, and why?

Re: Smartphone OS

I went with a New Nokia N8 with Symbian^3 I know that Nokia Smartphones are not all that readily available in the states so I am probably in the minority here. My main reasons for getting the N8 are, Battery life, Camera and Price. Although the UI isn't the greatest on Symbian, there are some very ...

Re: Which Browser Are You Using?

Sort of OT, but the NetFront browser (default on Sony PSP), was and has been very impressive to me since it became available in late 2005/early 2006.
