Re: Not XBAND, Sega Channel.
Which encryption are you referring to? The CD copy protection scheme, or are you just referring to the NetLink (which wasn't an issue of encryption, but using older technology on newer systems). I've never seen a Sega Channel in person, but from what I've read, everything was stored in the device's ...

Re: Hi/ Hola from PERU, looking for first matchup partner/s!!
I still wish analog phone wasn't the only real way to play Netlink, when are you going to figure out a new solution for us :) Been wanting to play again for years now :) I'm still separated from my Saturn hardware. It's all in New York. I just moved back to the correct timezone, but it's still a lo...

Re: Netlink-Friendly Web Hosts
Generally, the closer to plain old HTML 1.0 the site is, the more likely it will work. If you can obtain newer revisions of the PlanetWeb browser, that might help too.

Re: NetLink spotting thread
This thread is to advertise NetLink games and hardware for sale to help others find it, not to advertise wanting to play. :/Austin Peyton wrote:i can play sega rally or virtual on this weekend the 4th or 5th

Re: Netlink-Friendly Web Hosts
The big issue with the Saturn's browser is it is just *ages* behind the Dreamcast's. The internet was evolving rapidly in the nineties, and 1996 vs 1999 is a pretty big gap. Plus, the Saturn is far less capable.

Re: Any old Netlink IRC Users out there anymore?
I wish! I was only vaguely aware of the Saturn at the time, and even then, my parents wouldn't let me get an N64 until after the Dreamcast came out.
So I don't have quite the same nostalgia for the Saturn, but I do love it!

Hello!
I'm not familiar with anyone active here from Peru, but that doesn't mean that there aren't. I think the closest active user to you is in Brazil, and that's Rogue.

I'd been thinking about doing something like this for a long time. I just haven't had the time and resources to invest. :/

Re: Sega PC - Online Multiplayer Games TCP/IP
I don't own any on the PC. Several of those titles I own on the Saturn, but that doesn't help, even if I did have my Saturns with me. If I had any, I wouldn't mind giving it a shot.

I am quite intrigued by this discussion... but I'm several thousand miles away from my Saturns right now and unable to help.

Hahaha, I don't think I have much of anything that you don't already have. =PJerryTerrifying wrote:Like a pack of jackals willing to clean your collections bones of any delicious Saturn meat. Of course I'd be willing to make some offers on any extra Saturn stuff you have as well!
