I'm still fiddling with games. GunGriffon II (2) actually comes with a box set that doesn't advertise the cable; http://cgi.ebay.com/BOX-COLLECTOR-SATURN-JAPAN-GUNGRIFFON-2-BRAND-NEW-/270481576485?pt=US_Vintage_Video_Games&hash=item3ef9f55225 Ignore that sellers price, I got mine for $30. I real...

More dreamcast link cable talk~ I pointed the mentioned poster (captin dreamcst) to that topic for more sharingness. As for this topic, I'm enjoying steeldom vs play. I have a few iso and cdi 's waiting to be burnt, and I'm still tinkering with this stupid geobockers game (i refuse to buy a second ...

Its really all give and take. Have you ever played wipeout on a ps1? After playing it on the Saturn it felt like a slug race (granted it was originally made for ps1, then ported to Saturn where it lost some weapon textures, but still, the Saturn version is far superior). Update to this; I haven't ha...

And whoever said Hexen is better than Doom is drinking something strong! Doom is one of the best games ever created! I implied that the saturn port of the game Doom (US) was rubbish, compared to other releases. Doom is indeed far superior than hexen (and it has sequels!) Thanks for the info! Will h...

I got the very first linked cable in today. The box has NOTHING mentioning games, and literally refrained from using the word "sega" anywhere (calling it the "ss"), a mere cute toy. Its also very overpriced, I would suggest those looking for the cable to continue hunting for box ...

I was having a very hard time locating a few of the iso's of these possible games, so I went ahead and tagged a few for legit copies (i had heard that the japanese version of daytona circuit edition controlled better than other releases anyways, so double bonus :D ) I also picked these two up; http:...

I'd have to get more blank cd's before I can start all of this. Also if anyone knows much about programing / emulation, I spat out an idea here; http://dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2599 I know that a normal saturn game can be around 1/5 the size of a dreamcast game, so hopefully ...

I'll be testing very shortly with my pathetic-dork-sized library, with both official & the above ebay link cable. For shits and giggles I'll even test the first US version Saturn vs the second US version Saturn (oval vs circle button) for difference (doubt there is any, but i know NOTHING about ...

DO IT! The sd card mod is so easy, and its far more important that most people realize; ~Yes it can play normal iso's, but without the space limitation of a cd-r, it can play a full backup ~With a 32 gb sd card you can literally hold about 20 dreamcast games in the palm of your hand. ~the current so...

While I'm browsing I might as well update; I've had a little distraction from this project as I wanted to finish a few other fun ones; ~Crazy Taxi ps2 (in the shell of a crazy taxi toy car) ~Dreamcast wireless remote receivers (ems adapter + receiver from a katana ps2 wireless remote & v1 logite...

The seller notes that it works with "Games supporting this feature include Virtual On, Sega Rally Championship, Duke Nukem 3D, Saturn Bomberman, Gebockers, Steeldom and more." Maybe thats on the box, but I shall investigate. Mind sharing your workaround idea for the dreamcast cable? I've b...

So I've had a legit sega brand one sitting in a japanese box with pretty looking words I can't understand for...years. And now I have a 2nd party one I purchased off ebay coming my way, with box and hopefully some instructions that I can understand. The same seller had this one also; http://cgi.ebay...

wireless / cellphone modem alternative for netlink

Hi again guys! I'm getting closer and closer to finishing my custom bomberman saturn system. While compiling parts for a wireless AV cable output I ran accross a fun article about doc cradels for cellphones (the article speaking of the phonelabs doc-n-talk mostly), which warrented more research. Aft...

I saw that a month or so back. Was about to buy but when added to shopping cart noticed a play on the words. I emailed them asking if it was the console or just a controller, and got a response that it was just 15$ for a new controller.

Also out of curiosity what other custom projects have you done? Didn't see that, most of my fabrications are shell / paint modifications. My #4 favorite game of all time is Scud, the disposable assassin, and just for that game I modified two of the orange saturn light guns with inner weights, paint...
