Hacked

Post by Xranger60 »

Yesterday, the account for saturnleague was suspended by my webhost. This happened because a hacker had gained access and installed a phishing site on the server. I've since had to take some steps to secure the site, but I'll have to do some updating now. Sorry for the downtime.

I figured it would be back up soon, but I was worried, too. I also realized that outside of this site, I had no way to find out what happened. I need to remedy this.
I have my Saturns, I have some of my games, I have a RasPi. Gotta put all this stuff together!

This is true. I think from now on, should anything happen to the site, users should check the old site address to see what is going on.

Sounds good to me... I just hope I can remember that... and the same for everyone else.

Perhaps it would be good to also put together a mailing list... I can set that up real easy.

I'd appreciate that. I'm thinking you might have a hard time using the saturnleague email if something like that happens again, though.

I too was like Warp. i just started to call this my Saturn talk home. And I was worried Id never see it again. Not to mention my Netlink modem just came in! Woulda been all for not!

But ya use the old site link if something happens. I did end up finding that link when searching Google for info about why the site went down.

Wow, I didn't noticed due to long time whitout coming around. =/

But I'm happy it's all okay now.

I've browsed that old version from the PlanetWeb sometimes. It's in my favorites. =)
I'm ready to play!

It's a shame that people actually hack such a nice site.

Luckily, everything is ok now.

Glad everything is back up and running. I had a site compromised before - you leave one vulnerability in an old version of the forum, and some wanker will exploit it!
That's fly.
