Hi all,

As you can see we have a bit of a problem with spam on the forums at the moment

Is there no way we can put a stop to this? I am sure there must be as other forums manage to avoid it, think some threads need deleting at least..lol

Ya, all of these stupid things must've just popped up in the last few hours; it's probably some lowlife who can't find anything else better to do with himself. All you can really do is ban the user and block their e-mail(s).

Yeah...that's annoying...

but I think the Admin's making a good job, at least deleting quickly a lot of threads...

but I think they're bots, not real people nightmare a la DC...

well...I'm not sure... XD

i´m pretty sure that these are Spambots.

They just use some securityholes in famous php boards / Portals.

Is this the latest Version of PHPbb? Because i see the 2005 Copyright at the Bottom of this Page.

I see its all happened again, this seems to be somebody doing it all manually (or at least thats hown it seems to me) not automated so I guess its gonna be hard to stop...what I don't understand is why, there is not much to be gained by advertising on this site...unless its just to irritate

Looks like you could be kept busy with deleting posts/threads
