The SNES ones were good, just building up to the ultimate-Saturn Bomberman. Tactics? Well for one, master the kick, and stopping the bomb where you want it. This is invaluable in a multiplayer game. Always know where your opponents are, if you're oblivious for any small amount of time, you will find yourself in a lot of heat.
Willing to play Bomberman, Duke Nukem 3d, Virtual On, Sega Rally. Send me a PM.

indeed the glove is quite the grab in the powerup sense, but sometimes just so hard to find! by the time i actually get one, the match is just about over already :?

The genius of the Saturn version is in its simplicity. There are many things that you can do, but it doesn't go overboard. For instance, there are mega power gloves in the Gamecube version that allow you to throw these crazy bombs that detonate over a certain radius of blocks. A little too much in my opinion.
