Yeah, if you do it through dial-up, it costs like nothing. You're only paying for the call to your ISP and that's it. DC online games are server based so there's no fear of getting a crazy phone bill for hours of play.

All you need to get started is a copy of the game, a web browser CD (to set your isp settings) and maybe a Codebreaker CD.

Takes not time at all to get up & running :)

Especially with a game like Quake 3, us all getting together is entirely possible, just get your DC online, modem comes standard with the dreamcast. We can get you up and running in little to no time at all, even easier if you can find a free dial-up ISP to connect to.

Dreamcast Quake 3? Sounds too good to miss! Count me in whenever it's goin' down :) .

I'm using a controller, but I'll still try to put on a good show.

Ah yes, I would be using that controller as well. I have a Dreamcast keyboard, but not a DC mouse!

Cool, controller play is better anyway, I mean lets face it, if ur gonna use a mouse you may as well just play on the PC version

Especially since you're going to have to set up some sort of flat surface to put both the mouse and the keyboard on. Kind of an extra hassle.

Nice :) , everyone using a controller sort of levels the playing field anyway. Now all we're missing is a server IP and maybe 1 more to join in the fray.

Well that kinda defeats the object a bit...lol, can't you find a new copy anywhere...thought it was fairly easy to find in the US?

I try to play Quake online, but I can never get the master server to respond after I connect. That and I have a crappy connection that changes between red and green alot.

Yeah sounds like an ISP issue :( . The master list does go down sometimes but its fairly rare, so it most likely is your ISP, for some reason some ISP's don't seem to load that master list, don't think anybody knows the reason :(

I've been told its my DNS numbers and to change them to 0.0.0.0 . For most people that works but it still won't bring the master server up. I wish there was more DNS numbers to try.
