Sega Rally

Post by nick944 »

Anyone want to play Sega Rally Thursday (might change) I'm planning on getting my netlink copy Thursday and I can't wait to play :D I'll dial if it's in the Houston area, I don't have long distance so anywhere else the other person will have to dial.

I got it working just in time, it seems!

I need to double-check to make sure it'll be okay for me to make a long-distance phone call, as I'm not the one paying the phone bill.

Also, if I can get it set up in time, I'm going to see if I can't get some kind of computer setup to listen in on the game while we play. My goal is to analyze the data later and see if I can't figure out exactly what our Saturns are saying to each other.
I have my Saturns, I have some of my games, I have a RasPi. Gotta put all this stuff together!

Sounds good! Do you have AIM or MSN so we can get on at the same time?

Great game warp! Next time when I choose my cars I need to remember that the Lancia Stratos is not meant to go around corners

At least not on sand. :D But on straight stretches it seems to be great!

Neither of us actually finished the race. The only reason I was ahead when it timed out was because I had a maybe half an hour total more play time/experience than you did. Neither of us had ever tried that car or course before. :P

All in all, awesome game. I hope to play you again soon!

Actually, I didn't see that I selected Manual transmission, so I sat at the starting line for a few seconds trying to figure how to shift.

This is why I loved xband and love 1 on 1. You just get more of a personal aspect than you do with newer services like Xbox Live.
Willing to play Bomberman, Duke Nukem 3d, Virtual On, Sega Rally. Send me a PM.

Yeah, that was such a long time ago. I wish the Japanese would make a time machine, so we can all enjoy the greatness of Xband.

After I finish my Netlink project, I can look into the Japanese Xband if you like.
