Hey why is Erlo47 posting porn links on the Saturn League forums? Don't we have a moderator to take this stuff down?

I take down the stuff as fast as I can, unfortunately sometimes 10 of them may sign up a day, in spite of board upgrades and required email activation. It's amazing that people are still making games for Saturn though. It would be very interesting to see homebrew take advantage of the NetLink.
Willing to play Bomberman, Duke Nukem 3d, Virtual On, Sega Rally. Send me a PM.

The demos aren't amazing he says ...

Hey all,
It's been a while, but it's good to see the league still up & runnin'!

Since I don't have a landline anymore, for me, NetLinkings out. But I'm still doing a bit on the homebrew side of things (I'm actually Zaksund over at SegaXtreme). Some of the stuff the other homebrewers come up with is very impressive, everything from custom libraries to new graphical effects. For a scene with maybe a dozen or so people in it, I think the growth hasn't been too shabby, course it's nothing like when the DC scene exploded. That was just wild.

There's actually an interview with one of the main devs, Rockin-B, on Racketboy's site that pretty much summarizes the state of Saturn homebrew.

Small as we may be, you can be sure that we'll keep pluggin' away!

I am very interested. Please keep me updated!

Someday I'd like to write a game for the Saturn, but I'm working on several other projects right now. :)
I have my Saturns, I have some of my games, I have a RasPi. Gotta put all this stuff together!

Hi! Thank you for your interest. With the way the game is currently looking, graphically it should look as good as any Saturn game. We have talked about supporting Netlink but unfortunatly Rockin B is not experianced with networking coding. If there is anyone interested and hs the knowledge of coding for Netlink support give me a shout.

Wow, NetLink support would be awesome. Is the knowledge out there for using the NetLink hardware through code? Or not yet?

Id like to help in a development of a Saturn game some day. I used to work on games way back in the early 2000s for PC.

The only problem I see with Saturn is that its considered one of the hardest to develop for, but I hope to see some new games come out!

I don't know exactly how to write code for the Netlink for the Saturn side, but I do know of some information on its registers. It might be useful.

http://yabause.wiki.sourceforge.net/Netlink

Basically, it's supposed to work almost exactly like a regular computer modem. The official Netlink-compatible games did use their own custom protocol for communication between the two modems, but from what I can tell, you could use whatever protocol you wanted.
