The Lost SEGA Saturn Games

Post by Shenmaster777 »

Hi all,

Recently, I've been getting back into the vdeo game scene, and noticed a lot of unfinished/unreleased games for the SEGA Saturn. (the most ineresting in my opinion are Shenmue Saturn, Virtua Fighter 3, and Sonic Xtreme)

Well, I have a proposal. If you find any websites, media, news, or anything relating to any of the cancelled Saturn projects (hardware or software), post it here. Here's a start:

Return Fire

Shenmue

Sonic Xtreme

Virtua Fighter 3

There was a game called Return Fire, finished but never released on Saturn. I forget the webpage and stuff, but you can get an image of it and play it if you burn it. I'm sure with a little googling it can be easily attained.

*Nostalgia switch is turned on*

Can you just imagine commercially released versions of Virtua Fighter 3, Sonic X-Treme, and Shenmue all running on stock Saturn hardware??? I would be exploding in joy.

Now imagine all the JP games that should have made it to our shores...

For all the excellent US Saturn titles available (and there are plenty), there could have been so much more...
