Game or VCD card???
I'm a fan of RTS games and was thinking about getting command and conquer for my Saturn but then I also thought that maybe I should get a vcd card I found one for about 35 dollars, and then I can download vcd files burn them and watch all kinds of movies on my Saturn. What would you guys do?
I assume you got the idea from my posting, but its not really worth it.
VCDs are such low quality.
The real value of the VCD is playing higher quality cutscenes in Japanese RPG games.

I agree with Derek. Why use the Saturn to play low quality movies.
I'm not one of that who download movies, so in my case I'll like to play someday some real VCD just to experience the thing. But if you aren't a enthusiastic (I often browse the web via NetLink, lol), get the game.

I am now looking for a VCD/PhotoCD card for my Saturn using this guide: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/saturn/ ... 6393/12540
I'm trying to track down a card that supports both the PhotoCD and VCD modes. This means that I need the Victor RG-VC2, RG-VC20, or RG-VC3. The cheaper the better. If anyone can help me track one down, that would be much appreciated.
I've already found several that claim to play PhotoCDs, but I either can't verify it, or can verify that according to the guide I'm using, it should not be able to play PhotoCDs.
I also found one that claimed to be a rare US version, but I don't know much about it, and it's $200. I'd rather not pay that much.
Sometimes they go by the name "Twin Operator".

I have my Saturns, I have some of my games, I have a RasPi. Gotta put all this stuff together!
PHOTO CD OPERATING SYSTEM and the VCD CARD
I own each of them.
The PHOTO CD OS is the PAL VERSION and my VCD Card is the USA produced version.
I also have a few VCD movies for viewing, but haven't watched them on my Saturn YET.
