I have the chance to buy SF3 from someone near me- I'm paying 120 dollars. It started to have me wondering how many copies of SF3 were made, I mean it was released really close to PDS and those have a small print run. Does anyone know how many copies were made?

I don't know the specific price but $120 is about right to pay for SF3. If you're not paying through eBay, get him to slice $10-$20 off and do a deal.
