Glad you like Astal! Ahh, such a beautiful game. I should throw it in again soon. I could always go for more of that second level. "Get away from me you stupid bird!" Oh, and D is another game I need to play. I haven't played that one since when it first came out. Very scary stuff though -...

Could there be any other game? I bought the system with Virtua Fighter at launch, so that was my first game, and I'll always cherish it. The first thing I actually played, though, was the Choice Cuts sampler. What an awesome promo that was...it still gets me all pumped up for the system when that ba...

The Mission Stick basically works with all the flying games (Wing Arms, Black Fire, Sky Target), the Panzers and the other games mentioned as well. It's a really cool device, like the rest of the first-party peripherals. Really well thought out and adaptable. It works really well gameplay wise for g...

The thing is...we need people to actually play before we could ever collect any rankings. It's so tough to get games going these days, just simply playing a match is an achievement in itself. Let's get some games going first, then worry about the stats later!

There are actually a bunch of solid Euro-only games that we somehow never got here in North America despite the fact that the Saturn performed a lot better here than there. Deep Fear is definitely the game to get, it's the Saturn-exclusive answer to Resident Evil. Hilarious voice acting but great ga...

Just to leteveryone know, i just purchased Burning Rangers, w/ case+manual for $59.99 and free shipping, I thought that it was a good enough deal. Also I think that i will be looking for shining force 3 next. I've certainly seen it go for a lot higher, so congrats. You should have a lot of fun with...

I agree. It holds price while you could buy Dead Space 6 months after release for 19.99 probably. although I always fear re-release. As far as I know House of the Dead 1 has never been ported. HOTD 2 for DC was ported to Wii as HOTD 2+3 Pack. I hope they never port the original and let it be a cool...

The thing is, buying Dead Space at $60 new and House of the Dead at $60 used, the better investment is clearly HOTD. It's held that price for years, whereas any used game for current consoles takes a nosedive in price the second you take off the shrink wrap. Look at vintage gaming as an investment t...

Glad you like it. I really like the second level a lot, how it gets dark and all you hear are those swarms of birds flying above you. Couple that with the music...very atmospheric. Each and every level has its own wonderful design quality, though. It's a shame they never got the game in Europe.

You can't really go wrong with either game. Shining is put together very well - the presentation, from the battle screens, the music and the character design is all great. Still, no matter how you dress it up, it's still a dungeon crawler, and at times can be tedious. Burning Rangers is probably the...

It doesnt stack to Mario Kart but if people stop comparing it to that and take it for what it is, its really fun. Well, it's certainly a prettier game than the sprite-based Mario Kart 64, and the A.I. is much more realistic and challenging. It's not that stupid "catch up no matter how good you...

Daytona NetLink? Dude, don't even kid about that... But as the story goes, that was years ago, and someone offered him quite a sum for it. At the time, he didn't think he'd end up caring about it later, so he went ahead and sold it. :( Hindsight... Breaks my heart. Almost as much as my being 6 hour...

That's quite the haul, Derek. Nicely done. I never played the original Panzer Dragoon as a kid, either. When I bought my system I sent away for the free demo, got it, played it to death and then decided to wait to spring for Zwei instead. Well, Zwei was and is amazing, but after getting the first g...
