Yeah, unfortunately as the Saturn gets older and older, you have to worry more about the condition the system is in. My spare one that I bought a few months ago was skipping through music, so I gave a slight tweak to the laser adjustment and now it works fine.

Cool, if it's in the right shape, snatch it up. You'll be glad you did.

Hmm, not sure of the exchange rate, but I would consider something equivalent to about $35 US dollars or less to be a good deal.

Wow I didn't know they still send out copies of Dreamkey. Back in the day there was some controversy but it seemed like people liked dreamkey better than PlanetWeb browser. Any thoughts?

New Xband Guide

A new guide about Xband has been posted in the "Everything about NetLink" section. This one has all the info about the Xband service and what it was like on the 16-bit consoles. It should be an interesting read for those of you that don't know too much about it. Check it out.

Since I use broadband at home, and I don't have any dial-up access, and haven't tried out Internet Connection Sharing with the Dreamcast, I have not played DC online in a long time. Just one thing- If you do decide to buy this stuff, and something goes wrong, don't go on my info 100% :).

Madder, since you double posted, I consolidated both posts into one post. I'm personally from the US. As far as getting a NetLink, you're going to have to either search Ebay or the rest of the internet, or maybe a local used games store could have it by chance.

Yes, if you're sharing a network connection, and let's say you have Broadband, there's no way possible this could lead to greater charges. Unless something weird happens and the planets line up to charge you extra cash. It's almost like using a router. You're splitting up the internet connection amo...

That's the tricky part. It may be possible that one day the Bomberman Online network server could be emulated, because the game includes an option for specifying the server. I'm convinced that anything could happen.

As far as I know, Bomberman Online's network functions have not been resurrected yet, hopefully they will be someday. But at least Saturn Bomberman will be possible as long as there are landline phones.

Oh, yeah didn't even think of that. Madder, please get a NetLink, :). It would be very cool to have some UK matches going on, make this sort of a worldwide thing.

I'm not sure about the dreamkey, but I know people have been using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) with their dreamcasts for a while. I don't think you need to have a particular browser to use it. As far as the bill, no, you won't get another one, lol, since you are simply using the connection tha...

Yup, it's definitely worth it to buy one. Virtual On. Daytona. Sega Rally, various 2d awesome fighting games, and more. My personal favorite is Saturn Bomberman. Just that game might be worth a Saturn alone. Oh, also Virtua Fighter, Virtua cop, even House of the Dead.
