I found a buy-it-now auction on eBay that's selling one with a Japanese game, Gebockers. http://cgi.ebay.com/GEBOCKERS-w-link-cable-SATURN-IMPORT-FACTORY-SEALED-NE_W0QQitemZ330240762052QQihZ014QQcategoryZ139973QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247 I highly doubt that a ...

I can play more frequently, as long as I'm not the one dialing all the time.

After I finish my Netlink project, I can look into the Japanese Xband if you like.

At least not on sand. :D But on straight stretches it seems to be great! Neither of us actually finished the race. The only reason I was ahead when it timed out was because I had a maybe half an hour total more play time/experience than you did. Neither of us had ever tried that car or course before...

Yes, it happens with the Netlink browser disc as well. However, it happens regardless of whether or not the modem is inserted when using the Netlink disc. Sega Rally won't bring you to the Netlink screen if the modem isn't inserted, so I can't check that. I don't think it's the cartridge port anymor...

I own PSO as well... but my DC copy is sealed in its original packaging. I've also got the GameCube version and the GC broadband adapter, though, and I think I can play with the DC players that way...

I got it working just in time, it seems! I need to double-check to make sure it'll be okay for me to make a long-distance phone call, as I'm not the one paying the phone bill. Also, if I can get it set up in time, I'm going to see if I can't get some kind of computer setup to listen in on the...

Apologies for the double post. By carefully filing down some of the plastic supports on the piece that the disc was rubbing against, I gave the disc enough clearance to spin properly. It now works every time. :D I guess I'll ignore the Netlink graphics glitches. They only occur on Netlink-specific s...

I've been meaning to get my DC online anyway. I'm not good at shooters, nor do I own Quake 3, but if it means getting me motivated to set up my DC... I might be willing to.

Quake 3 is pretty inexpensive... should I get it?

When I open the door, close it again, and then open it, the disc isn't spinning. I tested the disc in the oldest working CD player in our house, and it plays fine on that. The "slot" I was referring to was the cartridge slot, or the expansion slot where you insert the Netlink Modem. It is ...

Okay... things I've discovered since last time. Maybe this new information will help us figure out the problem. I got my Sega Rally disc to work two or three times. I've been experimenting with different disc repair solutions, and at least I got to race once... Anyway... on those several times that ...

If you're playing a US game, then the only thing you're paying is the cost of a telephone call to the person you're playing with. Depending on what company you use, that price will vary.* I have no idea how much it would cost for me to dial you up in the UK from the US... but I imagine an extended p...

Might be cool to see. I own only one Saturn game so far, Sega Rally Netlink Edition, and it doesn't work. I'm still not sure if it's a problem with my Saturn or if it's the disc. There's a few scratches on it, including one in a region that I suspect is one of the areas it checks to make sure it's a...

I did a quick Google search a few days back... I didn't see anything obvious. Even if we did find something, it's highly unlikely that we'd be able to get ahold of any development from it, and even if we did, it probably wouldn't be anywhere close to working. :( If we did, though, you can bet that I...
