My Duke Netlink VIDEO

Heres my effort. I used my DVD recorder. Ripped the video and edited it and added voice overs in Avid Free DV editor.

Our match was like 27 minutes so I took out a big chunk

But it shows start to finish, shows the menus, shows the after chat etc.

Ill try to figure out how to upload higher quality videos later and maybe brighten it up too.

I might make a highlight video of our match just showing the battles, might be more fun to watch.

Make sure it didn't get bumped in the process of playing... you might need to reseat it in the cartridge slot.

it was working fine last night and we played some Saturn Bomberman. i was completey disconnected from the internet this time, but i found out my problem. when i put the phone line into the netlink itself my dsl got messed up because it was running entirely through that. so basically i need to get a splitter of some kind.

my apologies to xDerekRx because we were going to play some more Duke Nukem, but couldnt get back online to tell him what was going on.

When we got our DSL, the company gave us several DSL filters - any equipment that ISN'T the DSL modem has to be plugged first into a filter, then into the phone line. If you're using the same phone jack for both things, and want to keep both plugged in, you have to connect a splitter to the wall, and then the DSL modem to one jack and a filter to the other.

Manji its just as much my fault. I never put Duke Nukem in last night. It was 740 when I said we should play Duke and I forgot I had to meet someone at 8pm. I couldnt tell you on AIM so I kinda just left hoping to explain today.

We have to play tonight though, Sega Rally!

Im uploading the Bomberman video soon.

Im going to upload videos in HD to Youtube from now on.

For those not big on youtube, there is an option now to watch videos uploaded in HD format. The screen is bigger and the sound is cleaner. Its not that I shot the movies in HD but Ill be converting them in HD 720 from my editing software.

Upconverting video doesn't improve the quality. And it's not like the Saturn can output video at 720P, or even i, for that matter. YouTube might, however, not lose as much of the quality in its own conversion process.

Like I said its not actually HD, but on Youtube if you upload an HD converted video, the resolution is bigger for viewing and the sound comes out better.

So like I was saying im not converting to HD because it is HD, im doing it because its the best conversion for the sound and overall size of the youtube viewing area.

Its better than converting it to hi quality .avi file I guess Id say
