Shenmue 3!
I have been looking at a bunch of different sites, gathering information and getting very excited..
According to Shenmue Dojo, Shenmue 3, as well as the rest of the story, is complete now and it is pending a deal with console developers. This is the statement by Adam Doree (a writer for Kikizo Games):
"It has essentially been close to finished and 'ready' for some time - but in hibernation, pending a deal for the entire series on at least one next-gen console. "
Unfortunately later in the article it says that it is "extremely unlikely" for Shenmue 3 to be released on the current-gen console because of the amount of work it would take.
All that needs to be done now for Shenmue 3 to gain a deal with Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, or all 3! As soon as that is done AM2 (the developing company for the Shenmue series) will only need to port the game to the console(s).
Sorry if this is off-topic, but I was very excited when i learned about this info, but it seems its been around so some of you might already know about.
Plus, there is a new interview with Yu Suzuki, the creater of the Shenmue series and story on the link I provided for Shenmue Dojo

Yeah this stuff has been doing the rounds for some time now...so many stories have come and gone about shenmue 3 I think my head is in a spin. As it stands at the moment Yu Suzuki is desperate for it to happen but it seems like it may never happen....lets hope it does

The big question is whether the story of Shenmue will ever be finished. I remember back when Shenmue was announced how ambitious the project sounded. It would be a real shame if this series ended. I'm sure they will find a way to publish it though.
Willing to play Bomberman, Duke Nukem 3d, Virtual On, Sega Rally. Send me a PM.
