Official Saturn peripherals
Official Saturn peripherals
Are any of you fellas interested in collecting Sega-made add-ons for the Saturn? I'd like to eventually own them all, and just thought this might be a good place for people to share their lists.
Here's what I've got:
NiGHTS w/ 3D controller combo box
Version 1 controller (boxed)
3D controller (boxed)
Arcade racer (boxed)
Arcade stick (boxed)
Stunner (boxed)
NetLink (boxed)
RF adapter (boxed)
Mission Stick (boxed)
Here's what I'm missing (North American only):
Backup cart
Version 2 controller
NetLink keyboard adapter
NetLink mouse w/ mouse pad
Cleaning disc
Multi-player adapter
As far as I know no twin sticks were released in North America, but is there any other official Sega product I am missing? Funnily enough, the Saturn manual that came with the original launch of the system cites the keyboard, hard drive and floppy disk drive(!) as "coming soon". Those would have been sweet to see!
And now, I hand the mic over to you.

I finally found a boxed Mission Stick on eBay, and tried playing it for the first time today with Panzer Dragoon Zwei....I think I'll "stick" with the 3D pad. The control was very tough, not nearly as fluid as with the 3D pad. I was never one for flight simulators though, so perhaps my skills need honing before I can pass judgment. Has anyone else used this bad boy before? I've got Wing Arms and Black Fire, both of which I've yet to try.
That's fly.

I really just go for stuff I need, I'd like to collect more peripherals if I had the money, but I only really care about the necessities. More 2nd gen controllers, a multitap, backup carts, a 3D controller or two, and possibly an arcade stick are big items on my list right now.
...I'll think of one later, read something else.

Yeah I really need more....this is my list (all Japanese):
-Standard White Controller
-Sega Black Turbo Controller
-SegaNet 14.4k modem
-Movie Card (aka VCD/MPEG Card)
-1/4MB RAM Cart (3rd party; purchased from racketboy.com)
I'm hoping soon to pick up an offical Sega memory cartridge and a light gun along with some shooter games.
I also want to get Densha De Go Ex! along with the official train controller. Since I'm picky and want the spine-card I'm probably going to be paying a bit more for a new copy.
Floppy disk drive would also be nice...but I just don't have the $350 to spend on one.

I agree. I may try searching Japanese auction sites for it, who knows, might be cheaper to find on there. The Floppy Disk drive doesn't seem worth the price, it's really only for collectors of Saturn stuff.
I'd like one day to get the printer package to to complete the entire Sega Saturn Networks

hmm.. and I need a backup cart soon...cause I need more memory to save my games... ^^'
