I have my dial tone set to 1 on netlink. Could that be the problem?

Not a NetLink setting. Does it Rings? The Saturn plays a ringing sound when the phone is ringing and updates the text on the screen.

There should be a setting of your phone. I can add such service to my landline. The problem is that it's picking up really fast I suppose. Is there a fee for such service on your telephone bill?

Is that setting using the PlanetWeb Browser or the game?

In the game options there's just "dialong mode: tone" and "call prefix" or something like that. Where's that option you're saying?

Have you tested the NetLink?

Try calling your cell phone.

Yes any "modem" does the click while starting or finishing the connection. Perhaps you're young to remember the old 56k modems computers used. Or a fax machine. That click sound is the same that happens when you hang the telephone with your hand.

Well we did connected. But the connection drops right after the Title Screen.

Maybe because of the distance. Who knows... =/

No. The connection was made. Any issue after that is because of the noise in the signal.

If you call another person so far away you'll hear a call with very bad quality.

You should be able to connect easily with people in USA now that you know how to do it.

Thank so much rogue. My dad believes netlink. I learned how to dial numbers. I will pass this info on to fellow netlinkers. Hopefully someday we can play but due to the distance it just can't be done. It will be fixed somehow.

Wow, I totally forgot about NetLink. I got busy with school so now I am in the process of getting a modem and Duke Nukem, for real this time. But reading some of these posts, I'm glad that because of this post, presumably some of you were able to play some matches . I'll update you when I get all the hardware.
